Terms of Service
Welcome to Costa Power Washing. These Terms of Service govern the agreement between you (the “Client”) and Costa Power Washing (“we,” “us,” or “our”) when you engage us to perform exterior cleaning services at your property. By booking a service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
We want every job to be straightforward and stress-free. These terms are written in plain language so you always know exactly what to expect — before, during, and after our visit.
1. Scope of Services
Costa Power Washing provides professional exterior cleaning services across the Costa del Sol, including but not limited to:
- Pressure washing of driveways, patios, walkways, and decking
- Soft-washing of rendered facades, painted walls, and delicate surfaces
- Roof tile moss and lichen removal
- Gutter clearing and downpipe cleaning
- Solar panel cleaning
- Salt deposit, mold, and algae treatment
- Graffiti removal and commercial building washing
The specific services to be performed at your property will be confirmed in writing in your individual quote. Any additional work requested on the day of service that falls outside the agreed scope may be subject to supplementary charges, which will always be discussed and agreed with you before proceeding.
2. Quotations & Pricing
All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotes are based on the information and photographs provided at the time of enquiry. If, upon arrival, our team finds that the actual condition of the surfaces differs significantly from what was described or shown — for example, a greater degree of moss coverage, heavier staining, or a larger surface area — we reserve the right to revise the price. We will always inform you of any price adjustment before commencing work, and you are under no obligation to proceed if the revised price is not acceptable.
For larger or more complex projects, we may arrange a brief on-site assessment visit to ensure that our quote is as accurate as possible.
3. Pre-Service Property Inspection & Documentation
3.1 Before-and-After Photography
Before commencing any work, our team will carry out a walk-around inspection of the agreed work area and take “Before” photographs. This is a standard and non-negotiable step in our process. These photographs document the existing condition of all surfaces, structures, and fixtures, and serve to protect both you and Costa Power Washing in the event of any dispute relating to pre-existing damage.
3.2 Client Disclosure of Pre-Existing Issues
You are kindly requested to inform us prior to the commencement of work of any known or suspected issues with your property, including but not limited to:
- Loose, cracked, or deteriorating roof tiles, paving stones, or render
- Damaged or aged window seals, door frames, or weatherstripping
- Surfaces that have been recently painted, treated, or sealed
- Fragile or antique materials that may require special care
- Any underground pipes, cables, or drainage features in the work area
Failure to disclose known issues may limit your ability to make a claim should damage occur to those specific areas during cleaning.
4. Client Responsibilities
4.1 Access to Utilities
To carry out our work effectively, we require uninterrupted access to:
- A working outdoor water tap with consistent pressure and a standard hose connection
- A standard 230V electrical outlet (required for certain equipment configurations)
It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure these utilities are available and functioning on the day of service. If access to water or electricity cannot be provided, we may be unable to complete the job and a call-out charge may apply.
4.2 Clearing the Work Area
To allow our team to work efficiently and safely, the work area should be clear of obstructions prior to our arrival. This includes:
- Outdoor furniture, chairs, tables, and sun loungers
- Decorative plant pots, ornaments, and garden accessories
- Children’s toys, bicycles, and sports equipment
- Vehicles parked on or immediately adjacent to areas to be cleaned
We are happy to help clients who may need assistance with heavier items such as large planters or stone furniture. Simply let us know in advance when booking so we can allocate a few extra minutes to help you get the space ready.
4.3 Securing Windows, Doors & Ventilation
Although we take every precaution to direct water away from window and door openings, water ingress can occur through aged, poorly fitted, or damaged seals. Before our team arrives, please ensure that:
- All windows and patio doors are fully closed and securely latched
- Letterboxes, air vents, and cat flaps are covered or sealed where possible
- Any indoor items near external walls are moved away as a precaution
Costa Power Washing accepts no liability for water entering the property through seals, frames, vents, or other openings that are not in good working condition.
5. Our Liability & Limitations
5.1 Pre-Existing Damage
Costa Power Washing will not be held responsible for damage to surfaces, structures, or fixtures that were already in a weakened, deteriorated, or compromised condition prior to the commencement of our work, including conditions that were not visible or disclosed at the time of inspection.
5.2 Pressure & Chemical Application
We apply professional judgment in selecting the appropriate pressure levels and cleaning solutions for each surface type. However, some surfaces — particularly older render, weathered paint, or brittle grout — may respond unexpectedly to cleaning. Where we identify potential risk prior to or during the job, we will inform you immediately and seek your guidance before proceeding.
5.3 Post-Service Environmental Conditions
The Costa del Sol is subject to environmental events that can rapidly affect the cleanliness of exterior surfaces following our work, most notably the “Calima,” a weather phenomenon in which strong southerly winds carry fine red sand and dust from the Saharan region across the Mediterranean.
Costa Power Washing cannot be held responsible for the re-soiling of surfaces caused by:
- Calima sandstorm events occurring after the completion of our work
- Heavy rainfall, flooding, or storm events
- Sea spray, salt deposits from coastal winds, or airborne pollen
- Neighbouring construction work or landscaping activity
Once a job has been completed and signed off by the client, ongoing maintenance of surfaces becomes the responsibility of the property owner. Re-clean requests arising from environmental events will be quoted as new jobs.
6. Payment Terms
We aim to keep our payment process as simple and hassle-free as possible.
- Accepted payment methods: Cash or Bizum
- Payment is due within 7 calendar days of the successful completion of the job
- An invoice will be provided upon completion detailing all services performed
- For larger commercial or multi-day projects, a 50% deposit may be required prior to commencement, which will be confirmed in your quote
If payment is not received within the agreed timeframe, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable late fee and, in persistent cases of non-payment, pursue recovery through appropriate legal channels.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
7.1 Client Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This gives us the opportunity to offer your slot to another customer on our waiting list.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice: You will be charged 50% of the total quoted price. This fee helps cover the loss of a working day that was reserved exclusively for you.
- No-shows or same-day cancellations: The full 50% cancellation fee plus a call-out fee will be charged to cover our travel and preparation costs.
7.2 Cancellations by Costa Power Washing
In rare circumstances, we may need to reschedule due to severe weather conditions, equipment issues, or other factors outside our control. In such cases, we will contact you as promptly as possible to arrange an alternative date. No cancellation fees will ever be charged to the client in these situations.
8. Health & Safety
The safety of our team, your family, and your property is our top priority on every job.
- Please ensure that children and pets are kept away from the work area for the duration of the service. High-pressure water and cleaning chemicals can cause injury, and wet surfaces become slippery during and immediately after cleaning.
- Our technicians are trained in the safe use of pressure washing equipment and cleaning agents and will follow all applicable health and safety guidelines.
- We ask that you do not approach or attempt to assist our team while equipment is in operation, unless specifically requested to do so.
- Any safety concerns observed on your property — such as unstable structures, exposed wiring, or slippery surfaces — will be flagged to you before we begin.
9. Photography & Marketing
We are proud of the results we deliver and love to share the transformation.
- We may take “Before and After” photographs of completed work for use on our website, social media platforms, and promotional materials.
- Your personal information, full address, or any other identifying details will never be shared publicly.
- If you would prefer that photographs of your property are not used for any marketing purpose, simply let us know at the time of booking or at any point before or during the service. We will respect your preference without question.
- By allowing photography, you grant Costa Power Washing a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use images of the cleaned surfaces for marketing purposes.
10. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
Our goal is your complete satisfaction. If, for any reason, you are not happy with the results of our work, we ask that you contact us within 48 hours of the completion of the service. We will arrange to return and assess the issue as quickly as possible and, where a genuine shortfall in service quality is identified, we will remedy it at no additional cost.
We believe that the vast majority of concerns can be resolved quickly and amicably through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached informally, both parties agree to seek mediation before pursuing any formal or legal proceedings.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Málaga, Spain.
12. Amendments to These Terms
Costa Power Washing reserves the right to update or amend these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website and will apply to all new bookings made after the date of publication. Existing bookings will not be retroactively affected by any changes.
Thank you for choosing Costa Power Washing.
We look forward to making your property shine.
